Military College Sui Fee Structure 2026-27: Monthly Fee by Category (Class 8 to 12)

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Quick answer: At Military College Sui (MCSB), the monthly fee for a civilian student is Rs 16,500. Sons of serving army officers pay Rs 9,800, sons of serving JCOs and soldiers pay Rs 5,500, and Baloch students pay just Rs 5,351. Children of shuhada pay only Rs 500 a month as pocket money. Fees are paid in advance, quarterly, by bank draft to HBL PPL Branch Sui.

We get this question a lot from parents in Punjab and Sindh who hear about MCSB for the first time and assume it must cost as much as Military College Jhelum. It doesn’t. For most families, Sui is one of the cheapest proper military colleges in Pakistan, and for Baloch families it’s close to free. Below is the full picture, category by category, plus the bits the prospectus doesn’t spell out.

Where these figures come from

All monthly amounts on this page come from the fee table in the official MCSB prospectus (2023 edition), which is still the latest fee schedule the college has published online. The registration fees are from the college’s Entry 2027 notice. The college says dues are “subject to revision from time to time”, so treat this as your planning number and confirm the final amount with the MCSB accounts office before you send any draft.

MCSB monthly fee structure: College section (Class 11 and 12)

Category Development Tuition College dues Mess dues Pocket money Academic subs. Monthly total Per quarter
Officers (serving) 2,425 75 400 1,000 3,000 2,900 9,800 29,400
Officers (retired) 1,425 75 400 1,000 3,000 2,900 8,800 26,400
JCOs / soldiers (serving) 370 5 325 1,000 3,000 800 5,500 16,500
JCOs / soldiers (retired) 170 5 325 1,000 3,000 500 5,000 15,000
Civilians 6,650 75 775 1,000 3,000 5,000 16,500 49,500
Baloch 2,213 75 525 150 1,000 1,388 5,351 16,053
Shuhada 0 0 0 0 500 0 500 1,500

MCSB monthly fee structure: School section (Class 8 to 10)

The totals are almost the same as the college section. Only the officer categories are slightly lower, and the split between development and academic charges is different for civilians.

Category Monthly total (Rs) Per quarter (Rs) Approx. per year (Rs)
Officers (serving) 9,400 28,200 112,800
Officers (retired) 8,500 25,500 102,000
JCOs / soldiers (serving) 5,500 16,500 66,000
JCOs / soldiers (retired) 5,000 15,000 60,000
Civilians 16,500 49,500 198,000
Baloch 5,351 16,053 64,212
Shuhada 500 1,500 6,000

One thing parents often miss: the “monthly total” already includes Rs 3,000 pocket money (Rs 1,000 for Baloch students). That money is your son’s, kept in his account at the college. So the real cost of education, food and boarding for a civilian student is closer to Rs 13,500 a month.

Registration fee for Class 8, Entry 2027

This is the non-refundable fee you pay with the admission form. It is separate from the monthly dues above.

Category Normal fee (Rs) Late fee (Rs)
Army officers (serving or retired) 3,000 4,000
Soldiers (serving or retired), MES 2,000 3,000
Balochistan, Dera Bugti, civilians, FATA, FC (North and South), GB, AJ&K, PCG and other categories 4,000 5,000

For Entry 2027, the normal last date was 12 October 2026, the late window opened on 13 October with Rs 1,000 extra, and the written test was held on 1 November 2026. If you’re reading this for next year, the cycle usually opens in late summer. Our Military College Sui admission guide covers eligibility, age limits and the test.

How and when you pay

  • In advance, by quarter. Dues must reach the bank by the 10th of April, July, October and January. You can also pay monthly or six-monthly, but always in advance.
  • By bank draft in favour of “MCSB Cadet Fee”, Habib Bank Limited, PPL Branch Sui. The college’s own pages show two different account numbers, so call the accounts office and confirm the current one before you transfer money.
  • Late payment is expensive. If dues are still unpaid on the 30th of the month they fall due, a 20% surcharge is added for every month of delay. On a civilian quarter, that’s almost Rs 10,000 for one month’s delay.
  • No refunds for part terms. If your son leaves halfway through a quarter, the whole quarter is still charged.

What the fee does not cover

The table above is the college’s bill. Your real yearly spend will be higher. Plan for these:

  • Travel. Sui is in Dera Bugti, a long way from most cities. Two or three round trips a year can easily cost more than a month’s fee for Punjab-based families.
  • Uniform, shoes and sports kit at joining, and again as boys grow.
  • Board exam fees for Class 9 to 12.
  • Fines for disciplinary offences, which the prospectus allows up to Rs 10,000.
  • Withdrawal charges. If a cadet is withdrawn, training charges at GHQ rates can be recovered.

Scholarships and concessions at MCSB

The first three position holders of every entry get a scholarship, and the college also offers support for deserving students who can show financial need. Amounts aren’t fixed in the prospectus, so ask at the interview stage. The biggest concession is built into the fee table itself: shuhada families pay nothing except pocket money, and Baloch students pay roughly one third of the civilian rate.

Is MCSB cheaper than other military colleges?

Yes, by a wide margin. A civilian student at Military College Jhelum pays around Rs 33,000 a month, double the MCSB rate. Most private-sector cadet colleges, such as Cadet College Okara or Garrison Cadet College Kohat, work out to roughly Rs 40,000 a month or more once you add everything up. If you want to see every college side by side, we’ve put them all in one table in our cadet college fee structure guide for Pakistan.

The trade-off is distance and climate. Sui gets very hot in summer, and the journey is long. For Balochistan families, though, MCSB is one of the best value-for-money schools in the country.

Our advice before you pay

Keep every bank draft receipt in one folder for the full five years. Write your son’s name and roll number on the back of every draft. And if you’re a retired soldier or officer, bring proof of your category to the interview. Getting placed in the wrong category is the most common reason parents end up paying the civilian rate when they didn’t have to.
