The competitive written entry examination is scheduled to be held on October 18, 2027. Candidates will be assessed on a blend of objective multiple-choice items and subjective written evaluation models to measure comprehensive academic merit.

MCM Class 8 Entry Test Overview

The entry examination accumulates a Total of 300 Marks, divided evenly across three core subject blocks. The underlying academic syllabus is officially sourced from the baseline textbooks of the Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) for Class 6 & Class 7.

Official Paper Pattern & Marks Breakdown Matrix

The assessment relies heavily on objective testing methods, allocating 250 marks out of the 300-mark cluster to Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Review the specific breakdown per subject in the formal matrix table below:

⚠️ Critical OMR Sheet Solving Rules

As explicitly detailed in the official college directives, all Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) must be solved on a separate OMR (Optical Marks Reader) sheet. This is a critical technical factor that primary school candidates must familiarize themselves with before test day:

    • Answers are recorded by bubbling or filling in distinct circles using black/blue ink ballpoints or specialized markers.

    • Since an automated scanner processes the OMR template, any over-writing, stray marks outside the circle, incomplete bubble fillings, or double-bubbling will result in the machine rejecting the answer entirely, earning 0 marks for that specific question.

    • Students are strongly advised to practice using sample OMR response pages beforehand to build muscle memory and speed.

Strategic Preparation Strategy for MCM Entry 2027

To secure a competitive spot on the final merit display, focus preparation around these targets:

      1. Punjab Textbook Framework: Systematically study the conceptual exercises, vocabulary indices, grammar rules, and scientific properties found inside the standard PTB Class 6 and 7 science, math, and humanities text publications.

      2. English Subjective Drill: Practice writing short-form creative paragraphs, formal sentence corrections, application formats, and translation work to confidently capture the 30-mark subjective writing block.

      3. Urdu subjective Mastery: Focus on basic essay composition, poetry interpretation, and structural grammar conversions to maximize points on the 20-mark subjective Urdu criteria block.
