Q. No:1 Read the following passage and answer the given questions: (15)
A small, dark triangle can be seen in the sea, traveling at great speed. The people on the beach
have been warned to stay out of the water, and a helicopter hovers overhead. The pilot waves to a man
sitting high up in a wooden tower on the beach. The lifeguard waves back, and the helicopter roars
away.
A few minutes earlier, the man in the tower received a message on his radio. The speaker crackled
and the voice warned. It said: “Clear the water; sharks are heading towards you from the north”
The man quickly raises a red flag above the tower. He then picks up a megaphone and asks the
swimmers to come out immediately. Everyone rushes out of the water. There are shouts and
screams. Mothers and fathers pull their young children out of the water.
Questions:

Q. No:5 Translate the following into Urdu. (15)
There was once a man who had three sons and seventeen camels. The sons were called Hammed,
Naeem and Rafiq. The father was growing very old. One day he called his sons together and said
‘Boys, I am old and one of these days I will die’ please promise me that when I am gone, you
won’t quarrel over my camels’. The three cons looked gloomy. They did not want their father to
die, but they were eager to hear what he had to say.
