Situated on the Larkana—Mohen-jo-Daro Road, about 3 km from the world-renowned heritage site Mohen-jo-Daro, Larkana Town is 24 kilometers away, with Mohen-jo-Daro airport and railway station located 3 km and 5 km from the campus, respectively. The college is nestled in beautiful natural surroundings and spans over 100 acres.

Academic Programs and Facilities

SBBGCCL offers formal education from Class VIII to XII, focusing on Science Group Pre-Engineering and Pre-Medical streams. The college uses the syllabi prescribed by the Sindh Text Book Board and affiliates with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Larkana. To enhance scholastic achievement, teachers extensively use additional academic material at all levels.

Governing Body

The college is governed by a Board of Governors constituted by the Government of Sindh. This board is headed by the General Officer Commanding 16 Division Pano Aqil Cantt, with notable public figures from the division as members.

Message from the Principal

“Education, the backbone of any society’s evolutionary process, plays a vital role when we dispense it with purposeful aims and objectives. Nations steer their way out of the shadows of ignorance when they focus such progression impartially on all genders.

In a quest to improve the educational standards, especially in far-flung areas of smaller provinces, efforts are underway to establish Cadet Colleges for girls, preparing them for professional and futuristic aims. Larkana Girls Cadet College is one such venture likely to change the very basis of progressive and meaningful educational pursuits for girls of all segments of society.

This innovative idea was the brainchild of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and her dream materialized when the ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yusaf Raza Gilani visited Cadet College Larkana in 2009 and announced a girls’ Cadet College at Larkana.

This noble project of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Girls Cadet College Larkana carries lofty goals for young aspirant girls, providing them a secure, state-of-the-art, and visionary platform. It serves as a springboard for them to join Pakistan’s leading professional institutions, including the Armed Forces, Medical, Engineering, IT universities, and Civil Services.

In 2017, the soil testing of the site was done, and the pre-qualification of contractors was carried out in December 2017. By the grace of Allah Almighty, 85% of the construction work is complete. We are set to commence classes in mid-November this year. The total infrastructure for 300 students is almost ready.

All relentless efforts towards the noble cause of education are the need of the hour. Providing quality education to girls in the province will transform our daughters into responsible citizens of tomorrow. We will leave no stone unturned to prove equal to the task.”
